Knowledge is (em)Power

Have you ever been so blessed to have witnessed the look on a child’s face when the light bulbs turns on? You know, like when you’ve been helping your nephew learn the alphabet for weeks, and he makes it all the way through the first time. Their eyes and faces light up with joy and pride, and seeking approval.

I am grateful to be a part of similar experiences in the work I do every day with adults. One of the most influential statements I’ve heard in my life are “you don’t know what you don’t know.”

I use this statement as a reminder of grace and understanding when going throughout my day. Not everyone knows what I know. However, if I am willing to be a river of information rather than a reservoir, that’s where the power lies.

You may never know the benefit sharing your knowledge with others has, but please don’t let that stop you from sharing. One little seed may be all that is needed to change someone’s life forever. Shine bright, humbly share your knowledge with others, and witness the power you will receive in return from the universe.
